Its a rare tennis accomplishment for a tennis player to win all the four grand slams (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open) in singles, doubles and mixed doubles championships. Its a feat achieved by 3 women - Doris Hart, Margaret Court and Martina Navratilova.
In the present era, Serena Williams is closest to this record. She needs to win the Mixed Doubles Championships in Australian Open and French Open. Serena has become the world no.1 for the 3rd time after winning the Australian open 2009, which is her tenth grand slam. With this win, she has also joined the elite group of players who have won atleast ten grand slams in their career. I hope she is aware of the 'boxed set' record waiting to be achieved by her and she does so in 2009.
